This past Friday, 2/12/21 at approximately 330 pm, my transmission was badly malfunctioning. There was much slippage and the tranny temp was at 240 degrees. I was about 1100 miles from home, Milwaukee WI. Utilizing my smartphone and Google I realized you were the closest service facility, five miles away. I phoned Joshua Grenier and explained my predicament. Being late on a Friday afternoon with transmission issues I was not hopeful. Joshua was calming and helpful. He checked and Cooper, the transmission person, was working and was available. I limped it in. Joshua called the parts supplier and fortunately they had the necessary parts. They showed me the trans pan with the metal shavings and clutch residue and the dark brown transmission fluid residue. It didn’t look promising. As I asked, they replaced the fluid and screen/filter (?) and put it back together. They test drove it and strongly advised me to not over accelerate. I’ve been a cop for 40 years and I am an expeditious driver. It was a challenge but I heeded their advice and I limped my 2014 GMC Yukon XL with 173,000 miles home. In talking with Joshua he really appreciates being able to work in a quality service facility. He really appreciates working for Terry Breese. He and Cooper could’ve blown off the phone call so they could get out on time on a Friday afternoon but they didn’t. They did what you expect them to do. I’ve been a police chief the past 8.5 years and I’ve been in police management the past 25 years. You expect and hope that your employees do the right thing, the right way at the right time when you’re not around. Joshua and Cooper did it perfectly. Thanks to all of you for getting me home safely! Mike Young
